Mr. John Joseph "Jack" Adas, 71, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away May 13, 2017. Jack was born on July 7, 1945 in Detroit, MI to the late John and Veronica Adas. After high school, Jack joined the United States Navy. He retired after 20 years and 10 month of honorable service. He served aboard 3 submarines. Jack received an Associate's Degree in Technical Arts from Olympic College in Washington. Jack also worked for the Georgia Department of Labor as an inspector and as a technical writer supervisor for General Dynamics. Both of these jobs...

Mr. John Joseph "Jack" Adas, 71, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away May 13, 2017. Jack was born on July 7, 1945 in Detroit, MI to the late John and Veronica Adas. After high school, Jack joined the United States Navy. He retired after 20 years and 10 month of honorable service. He served aboard 3 submarines. Jack received an Associate's Degree in Technical Arts from Olympic College in Washington. Jack also worked for the Georgia Department of Labor as an inspector and as a technical writer supervisor for General Dynamics. Both of these jobs he retired from. Jack lived in Woodstock, GA for 30 years. He was a very loving family man and loyal friend. As Jack goes on his final patrol, he will be missed by so many left behind. He is survived by his sons, John "Jackie" Adas (Michelle) and David Adas, grandchildren, Aaron, Alyssa, Anna Marie, Bradly and Devin, brothers, Bill and Timothy Adas and sisters, Kathy Trosper, Mary Ingweiller and Darlene Cooper. A funeral service will be Monday, May 22, 2017 at 10:30am in the chapel of Woodstock Funeral Home. Interment with full military honors will follow the service at Georgia National Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4-8pm and Sunday from 6-8pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Jack's memory to the Disabled American Veterans, www.dav.org, or to the veteran's charity of your choice.
