Mrs. Karin Pic McIntire, 52, of Woodstock, Georgia passed away November 25, 2016. Karin was born on January 20, 1964, in New Orleans, Louisiana. She is a graduate of Mercy Academy, received her Bachelor's Degree from Kennesaw State University, Master's degree from Piedmont College and her Specialist in Education from The University of West Georgia. Karin enjoyed a career as a special education teacher at Little River Elementary School. She had a true gift with the children, and was beloved by her colleagues for her sharp wit and sense of humor. Mrs. Karin Pic McIntire, 52, of Woodstock, Georgia passed away November 25, 2016. Karin was born on January 20, 1964, in New Orleans, Louisiana. She is a graduate of Mercy Academy, received her Bachelor's Degree from Kennesaw State University, Master's degree from Piedmont College and her Specialist in Education from The University of West Georgia. Karin enjoyed a career as a special education teacher at Little River Elementary School. She had a true gift with the children, and was beloved by her colleagues for her sharp wit and sense of humor. She enjoyed quilting, and loved working on special quilts as gifts for family, friends and charities. She was a devoted, loving wife and mother who truly loved life. Karin is going to be immensely missed by so many. She leaves behind her husband of 31 years, Kenneth McIntire, son and his wife, William and Alanna McIntire, daughter, Cara McIntire, mother, Jane Pic Adams, brother, Aubrey Pic (Jill) and sisters, Avery Swihart (Tim) and Carolyn Pic, and other family members. Karin was preceded in death by her father, Aubrey Joseph Pic, Jr and step-father, William C. Adams. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2016, at 4:00pm in the chapel of Woodstock Funeral Home with a reception to follow. Interment will be in New Orleans at a later date. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
